Previously, my pressure sensitivity would randomly reset–which was pretty frustrating, as I use this device for sketching comics.
I have yet to see if this still happens. Will update if I see any changes. When attempting to update the settings on the Surface pen the settings are incomplete or missing.
The only setting you can update or change is the Pen sensitivity. This issue has been brought up to tech support through emails and chats with no resolution.
Others here are complaining about this being broken. Microsoft where are you on this? Without this function this app is Useless!!
Please address this issue or create a workaround, new app that will allow us to change the settings on the Surface Pen including button configuration.
This machine and the Surface Pro would be a 5 star device if it were not for this annoying bug!!

Just updated the Surface app thru the windows store. It now automatically closes after a few seconds. Can no longer use it to adjust pen sensitivity.
Makes me not want to update working apps anymore!

I dream of the day I am able to open this app to configure my pen. Microsoft please fix this its ridiculous that this does not work on my new surface pro 6.
The does not work any more. Gives me a code that I may be able to use at the store.? And I just updated my devise. I want easy tips plus, for god’s sake, if I change the pen sensitivity, save it!
Because next time I use the pen, I have to change the sensitivity again.

Save my preferences. Pen is still ehh. Please bring back the radial menu in OneNote and improve click response.
Clicking the pen works half of the time. I need to jot down notes quick, or use cortana, or screenshot!
These actions don’t always happen when I click the pen. Application now working as intended.
When launching the surface application the logo will appear, stall, and then crash. Interestingly the application does actually open when not connected to a network.
I guess this can be used as a work around to adjust your pen settings which is this applications only use anyway. Microsoft, please just put all the hardware settings for the surface into the OS where they belong in the first place Had to reinstall the app to make ir work again on my SP4.
From a company that makes the hardware, software and app this is very SAD! Shame on you MS!!! Update Sept App will not even open Get with it MS!!!!
Only opens if you are not connected to a wireless network. If you are connected it force closes right after splash screen. Reading reviews here sounds like this has been a problem for years.
I was on the fence about whether to keep my new surface pro 6. I’ll be returning it. The fact the companion app by Microsoft for its hardware does not run on its hardware is total WTF.
All I have done is add my account install updates and chrome. Latest update no longer displays battery level of surface pen. It won’t update or install.
