This is an unrealistic distance as noone keeps his cellphone at a distance of 1,5cm or 15mm from his body. Most people unfortunately put it in their pockets which essentially makes it a distance of at most 0,5cm or 5mm from one’s body.

This is the distance that all cellphones should be measured at. The A3 as you can see in the samsung website in the sar page, was measured at the right distance of 0,5cm, that is why its body sar eu appears to be high and it is high.

However, this measurement, even though it is high, it is accurate. The other measurement of the a3 is essentially non-valid.

This is High. This means that essentially, the a3 has a higher body eu sar than the a3 !

It is usually mentioned below or after the sar measurement. If it was not measured at 0,5cm or 5mm the measurement is essentially non-applicable.

This trick is the “distance”.

When you check the sar of a phone at an online website for example samsung’s or other companies website make sure you read the further information about wearing it on the body.

At some point it will mention the “distance”. Some companies test some of their phones at a distance of 0. This is the distance that cell phones should be checked at and it is the realistic distance when someone is carrying the phone in his pocket.

However some companies test their phones at bigger distances. Some measure them at 1cm or 10mm. And some others at 1.

What i noticed is that when a samsung phone registers the “body” sar measurement at below 0.
